Skype Toolin’ In Outlook

VoIP phenom Skype offers toolbars for Outlook and Internet Explorer (IE). The IE version has been out a couple of weeks now but the Outlook version just hit this past Friday and it's got some decent features too it.

The toolbar will work with IE 5.00 and up on both XP and 2000. You can use to call existing contacts, change online status or search using Yahoo, Eniro and Google. This toolbar debuted August 10th and was a good start.

The next step for Skype was the Outlook toolbar. Users can plug into their contacts list or pick up numbers out of their email. You'll also be able to watch when your contacts are online and call them or instant message them, all from the comfort of your Outlook.

The trick to this one is to have Outlook 2000 or newer and have XP or 2000 for Windows. All in all, this should be a nice move for the up and coming VoIP company.
